  • Can I buy a Fab@Home now?
Yes. We are setting up our website to process orders, but in the meantime you can request a quote by sending an email to orders@acreationtech.com. The cost for a Fab@Home with the single syringe print head is $3,599, and we've seen shipping rates range from $50 to $500. Be aware that receiving parts for each printer can take a few weeks, and the assembly process itself can take awhile, so your patience is requested when ordering.

  • If I order one right now, how soon can I get it?
The lead time can be up to 6-8 weeks to have your Fab@Home delivered, although so far we have managed to stay at less than half that. We will do our best to meet demand as quickly as possible; however, there may be factors beyond our control (such as component lead times) that could affect delivery schedules.

  • I find your ideas fascinating, and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
The best way to stay informed (for now) is to subscribe to the feed on our blog at acreationtech.blogspot.com. You can also receive updates in your inbox by sending an email to news@acreationtech.com

  • Why call it a 3D Production Platform? Why not just call it a fabber or 3D printer?
3D printing is a purely additive process (material is deposited). Because of the open-source nature of this product, it is anticipated that future efforts by ACT or the open source community will result in subtractive process capabilities as well, such as CNC or laser cutting applications. For example, someone could devise a production head which uses a Dremel(TM) to perform routing or carving.

  • Do you have any pictures of objects that have been printed with the Fab@Home?
Yes. There is a gallery of pictures on the Fab@Home website

  • Can I use the Fab@Home product in a commercial environment?
Yes. There is no restricition on where or how the Fab@Home can be used. However, be aware that some of the software is still a little rough around the edges and that the Fab@Home itself has not been optimized for survivability in a commercial environment.

  • What other types of production heads are available?
At this moment, we are only offering the single-syringe and dual-syringe print head. This is largely due to budgetary constraints on our end. As we grow, we will expand our production head offerings.

  • What other types of production heads could exist in the future?
Dual syringes, heated syringes (for chocolate, wax, etc.), rotary tools, and laser cutters, to name a few.

  • What could Fab@Home be used for?
Educational purposes, sign-making, architectural modeling, making jewelry molds, hobbies, and much more.

  • Are you looking for investors?
Yes. We are currently working from a very small budget which limits our inventory and R&D capabilities. If you are interested in investing, contact us at info@acreationtech.com

  • Are you hiring?
Yes. If you are interested in helping us build 3D production platforms (part time or full time) and you live in Texas (Dallas, Austin, or Houston area), feel free to contact us at employment@acreationtech.com
