Our mission: Automated Creation Technologies endeavors to improve access to high-quality, custom commercial and consumer products by developing affordable robotic manufacturing technologies and by offering related consulting services to help integrate those technologies into everyday life. As both a service-oriented company and a manufacturer, ACT is dedicated to creating positive customer experiences with the ultimate goal of establishing 3D production platforms as a common household tool.
ACT was formed in 2007 as a vehicle
for developing and marketing high-technology products with
both commercial and consumer appeal. The ACT team
is positioned for success, with strategies in place for marketing, research
and development, production and growth. The ACT team has the
practical experience necessary to develop, build, and deliver
3D production platforms. Current management has startup experience with
both hardware and software companies, and collectively it
has over 32 years of combined experience in applied engineering,
research, development, customer service, and sales.
ACT has assembled and tested functional, affordable
3D production platforms. Although there is further development
needed to reduce cost, increase materials capability, and
refine the hardware and software interfaces, the initial production
units will be nearly identical to the prototype system. In
addition, ACT’s system is not limited to one material
that can be printed, and development work has already been done using ceramics, plastics, wax, and even chocolate. There
remains opportunity to adapt the printer to a wide range of
materials that have yet to be applied to this technology.
